Rapid Access Patient Investigation & Diagnosis Portal

RAPID-P is an initiative currently being piloted by Westcliffe Health Innovations in response to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidance recommending that patients presenting with long-lasting gastric (gut) symptoms are referred promptly for appropriate investigation.

If you are experiencing repeated or enduring gastro problems we recommend you complete a secure online assessment questionnaire which can be accessed by clicking here: RAPID-P (

Your answers to the questions will be assessed immediately and you will be informed straight away whether your symptoms should be investigated further by your GP or local specialist clinic, and by what date you should be seen by a clinician.

Extended Access

From the 3rd April 2018 this practice is taking part in the GP extended access service which is provided from three sites in Bradford as follows

Picton Medical centre, Westbourne Green Community Health Care Centre

Shipley Medical Practice

The Ridge Medical Practice

This means you will offered the opportunity to attend an evening appointment (after 6.30pm) or a weekend appointment at one of the three sites to see a healthcare professional or to take part in other activities that will improve your health and wellbeing.

This service is run by Bradford Care Alliance, which represents most GP practices in the Bradford area. Medical appointments are with GPs and other healthcare staff who work in the area; therefore your appointment may not be with a clinician from this practice.

To use the service we will ask for your consent to share your medical record with the extended access service. When you are offered an appointment our receptionists will talk to you about what this means and why it is necessary.

Further details on the sites is available here

Friends and Family Test

The Friends and Family Test (FFT) is a single question survey which asks patients whether they would recommend the NHS service they have received to friends and family who need similar treatment or care.

GP Practices can use the feedback gathered through FFT to celebrate successes and to support staff to make improvements where the experience of services does not live up to expectations.
